This problem is how I found the forum. My V8 6,000 miler started with this and it got worse and became dangerous. It was supposedly fixed by the dealer but returned; so I traded the bike in.
The new owner contacted me and has had no problems in 5,000 miles so we can accept that it has been fixed now.
I investigated via the back door, to try to find the reason and am assured the first diagnosis provided the cure; although why it didn't work the first time remains a mystery.
The answer is the 'O' rings in the throttle bodies, causing the butterflies to 'stick' and send false information via the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) to the fuel injection system, which utilises the TDCS (Top Dead Centre Sensor) and cutting off the fuel.
My problem started at about 1600 rpm up to 2000 and went from being mildly irritating, to annoying, embarrassing and down right dangerous. It cut out completely on me several times; entering roundabouts was especially interesting!
At the time, I was the only person in the universe who had this problem so it may not be the answer. It must be worth a shot, though; keep us informed.
